Pastoral visits: who needs a visit

A short list, kept by the clergy, so nobody waiting for a visit is forgotten.

Vicar

Step by step

  1. Step 1: Raise a concern

    Vicar

    on Who needs a visit

The vicar names the member, chosen from the parish, the kind of concern (sick, housebound, bereaved) and a note.

What the others see: The member joins the list. It is not part of the directory and is in no export.

  2. Step 2: See who has waited longest

    Vicar

    on Who needs a visit

The list is ordered by how long each person has waited, with their phone number to hand.

What the others see: Only those who hold the pastoral area see the list.

  3. Step 3: Record the visit

    Vicar

    on Who needs a visit

After visiting, the vicar presses “Visited today”.

What the others see: The person moves down the list; the button shows the visit is recorded for today.

  4. Step 4: Close it when it is no longer needed

    Vicar

    on Who needs a visit

When the person has recovered, or the need has passed, the concern is closed.

What the others see: They leave the list.

How it ends

Every concern seen to, longest waiting first, and kept among the clergy.
