Workflow · 3 steps

A family corrects its own record

The family keeps its own record; the parish keeps what it is answerable for. Each change says which kind it is before it is saved.

Step by step

  1. Step 1: The family edits its details

    on My family

Any member of the family corrects the family’s details and each member’s: a phone number, an address, a profession, a photo. They can add somebody to the family too.

What the others see: Each field says whether it applies at once or waits for the office.

  2. Step 2: Some changes wait for the office

    Head of family

    on My family

A fact the parish keeps, such as a date of birth, is sent to the office rather than changed.

What the others see: The family is told the change went to the office, and can follow it under what they asked for.

  3. Step 3: The office decides

    Parish office

    on Awaiting approval

The office sees the old and the new value and approves or declines.

What the others see: The record changes on approval. Every change is in the change history: who, what and when.

How it ends

A directory the families keep current themselves, with the parish’s facts still the parish’s.
